Here is a list of five fantasy/science fiction books I read over the years and really enjoyed:

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
I loved this book! It blends African mythology into the story and leaves you wanting more.

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
Loved this fantasy. First in the series and if I remember correctly, the romantasy was quite good.

The Good Luck Girls by Charlotte Nicole Davis
I bought this book at a book fair and met her and had her sign it. This is part of a duology at’s a great read.

Mem by Bethany C. Morrow
This was Bethany C. Morrow’s debut novel and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Dread Nation by Justina Ireland
This was Justina Ireland’s debut, and it did not disappoint. I enjoyed the characters and if you enjoy it, there’s a second book in this series.
